The Reverend S. Yvonne Hall is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was reared and educated in Pleasantville, New Jersey.
She relocated to Connecticut in 1961 and, after her call to the Gospel Ministry in 1976, she was licensed and ordained at the Shiloh
Baptist Church, New London, in 1977 and 1981, respectively.
She served as Associate Minister for 13 years at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Bridgeport, under the pastorate of the late Reverend
William D. Kenney. She reunited with Shiloh, New London in 1994 and is currently serving as Associate Minister under the pastorate
of the Reverend Dr. Benjamin K. Watts.
Reverend Hall is president of the Women’s Auxiliary to the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention. She is also a
Christian Education teacher during the Mid-year and Annual sessions of the Convention, as well as at Shiloh, New London.
Academically, Reverend Hall holds:
__ a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University,
Willimantic, CT
__a Certificate of Completion from the Black Ministries Certificate Program, Hartford
Seminary, Hartford, CT
__a Certificate of Completion of Biblical Studies from the Connecticut Institute of Christian
Religion, Bridgeport, CT
Reverend Hall is a retired State employee. She is currently enrolled in a Master’s Program at the Hartford Seminary, and a
Clinical Pastoral Education Program at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London.
She is married to Courtland H. Hall, Sr., and has been blessed with 7 children, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Reverend Hall strongly believes, as did the Apostle Paul, that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her. (Phil. 4:13).
