| About Us The Blankets of Love Ministry is one of many ministries under the umbrella of Pastoral Resource Ministries, Incorporated. This ministry was established due to the alarming needs of people who are the homeless. Winter is a critical season for the homeless. Many people are living in shelters, cars, on the streets, under bridges, or with families and friends in overcrowded environments. This involves men, women, and children. They are homeless for one reason or another. The homeless are people in need and who are seeking for love, understanding, and support from others. The Blankets of Love Ministry is working in partnership with shelters, community and faith-based organizations, soup kitchens, state and local agencies to provide services for the homeless. Mission The mission of the Blankets of Love Ministry is to provide services to the homeless population living in our society through caring and supportive relationships that will lead them towards empowerment. Goals The Blankets of Love Ministry’s goals are to: * Provide hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets for the homeless. * Support a shelter and soup kitchen during the winter season. * Collaborate and partner with other providers serving the homeless * Make available speakers and other social service remedies to assist the homeless in their quest towards empowerment through group setting, workshops, conferences and printed materials.
