| Reverend Denise Goggins is a resident of East Hartford, Connecticut. She serves as an Associate Minister at The First Cathedral located in Bloomfield, Connecticut under the pastorate of the Archbishop LeRoy Bailey, Jr.
Reverend Goggins received her calling to preach from our Lord and Savior in January 1999. The Lord put such conviction on her that she said yes to His perfect will and accepted the call to preach in May 1999. On December 12, 1999 she preached her initial sermon and was licensed as a minister. Reverend Goggins was ordained on April 3, 2004 by Reverend Wayne A. Carter. She is an anointed preacher and teacher. She currently serves as Care Pastor of the Bloomfield District and a counselor at The First Cathedral. Having a strong desire for the spiritual growth of others, God has positioned her to serve in a variety of ministry settings. She serves as the Assistant to the President for Pastoral Resource Ministries, an interdenominational full gospel outreach ministry. She also had the opportunity, once a month, to host the radio broadcast, “Pastoral Resource Ministries Radio Ministry.” Reverend Goggins, in addition to her responsibilities at The First Cathedral, has had the opportunity to preach, teach, and facilitate workshops at other churches within Connecticut. As she helps others grow in their Christian walk, God has also given her the desire to continue in the study of the word and be thoroughly equipped for the work of the ministry. She is enrolled at the Black Ministries Program at Hartford Seminary in Hartford, CT and will be graduating in June 2007. Reverend Goggins is grateful that God has entrusted her to carry His word. She strives to walk worthy of the calling, which she has been called. Her favorite scripture is Mathew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” She continuously gives God ALL THE PRAISE, HONOR AND GLORY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE A HUMBLE SERVANT FOR OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! |
