| Reverend Sandra E. Bourgeois Googe is native of Lutch, La. She was raised in Hartford CT most of her life.
She is graduated from Weaver High School located in Hartford CT. Sandra attended Wilfred Academy and graduated from the Academy in 1979. After graduating from Wilfred Academy, she pursed her religious studies atThe Connecticut School of Christian Religion in Bridgeport CT and graduated in 1985. Reverend Googe continue her religious education training by enrolling in the Hartford Seminary’s Black Ministries Certificate Program and graduated in 1988. Reverend Googe is a member of Phillips Metropolitan C.M.E. Church located in Hartford, CT, under the pastorate of The Reverend James B. Walker. She was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1986 and ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1993. Sandra is on Phillips ministerial staff and serves in Phillips Prison Ministry. She is employed by the May Institute located in Manchester CT and holds the position of Program Coordinator. Rev. Googe is a Volunteer for the Connecticut Department of Corrections Volunteer Prison Ministry and serves as the Director of Pastoral Resource Ministries, Inc/ Prison Ministry. Sandra is a prayer warrior, the mother of four children and married to Dwayne Googe. Her favorite Scripture is, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soul” (Matthew 11:28-29). |
